The Journal’s official LinkedIn account has been established.

The official website of the Journal has been further visually and graphically improved. Additionally, the cover page of the Journal has been slightly modified (starting with the first issue of 2025, following the conclusion of the anniversary year).

The extended collegium of the Institute of International Politics and Economics has issued a statement in support of the student protests (available on the publisher’s page – IMPP).

During 2024, as in previous years, all four issues of the Journal were published according to the quarterly publication schedule. The content is available here.

The Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia has maintained the journal’s category (M23). International Problems remains the second highest-ranked national scientific journal in the field of international relations and the highest ranked journal published in Serbian language in this academic domain.

There have been some individual changes regarding the composition of the Editorial Board and the Publishing Council.

International roundtable was held with Journal’s external associates on the topic “EU Enlargement Policy Between Idealism and Realism“. The panel was organized by IIPE and Hanns Seidel Foundation. Manuscripts of Dr. Yorgos Christidis and Dr. Milenko Petrovic were included in the last journal issue for 2024.

Third issue of the Journal for 2024, in cooperation with the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade (project “National Interests of the republic of Serbia: from Contestation to Legitimation – NATIONAL(s)”) has been published.

The new Editorial Team includes Dr. Miloš Petrović as Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Ivona Lađevac as Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Mr. Milan Veselica as Journal Secretary.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the continuous publication of the scientific journal International Problems, the Institute of International Politics and Economics and the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, organized a roundtable titled “Theories of International Relations: Then and Now.” In honor of the journal’s anniversary, and with the initiative and support of the editorial team members, a collection of papers presented at the national conference has been published (in Serbian). In addition, a report/review on the event was published in the Journal.

A new cover page, inspired by designs from earlier periods, has been introduced to commemorate the recent 75th anniversary of the Journal’s founding.

The journal “International Problems (Medjunarodni problemi)” published by the Institute of International Politics and Economics, has been included in the prestigious Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) as of February 5, 2024. Inclusion in this list, which gathers journals from 135 countries, signifies confirmation of the quality of editorial practices and contributes to the increased international visibility of the journal.

In anticipation of the Journal’s 75th anniversary of uninterrupted publishing, in April 2024, the first four issues, originally published in 1949, have been digitized (available in Serbian here).

IIPE, in collaboration with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, organized an international online roundtable on the topic of EU enlargement policy and the Western Balkans in the context of new geopolitical developments. The presentations by dr Griessler, dr Bence Balazs and prof. Daskalovski have been published in the Journal.

The journal has been included in the ERIH PLUS list of scientific journals.
